Afrikadabra’s events are based on the phases of the moon and have shaped into a startling collection of wizardry, thoroughbred South African talent, and a mash up of creative amusement all culminating in a proverbial party wonderbra and an innovative twist on the traditional event format.
This installment brings Easy Company and Psynopticz together to storm Cape Town’s very own Castle and take you away from the mainstream and bring you a breakthrough balance between past and present for what may well be the world’s oldest dance ritual and to snap up a top spot in 2010’s memories. Enjoy a mouth-watering mix of innovation, creativity, sound and music, lights and artistic talent as you bask in the moonlight and soak in this juicy visual treat in what has proven to be one of CT’s very best venues. Cape Town, it is with immense pride that we would like to introduce you to the Moon, Moon meet our friends, Cape Town!
This curtain raiser to what will be many SA Full Moon Parties is set to spark off where two disparate worlds collide as the present enters the ethereal past of the Castle and we watch the sun duck down and the moon come out to play. Whether it’s the delectable line up with some of music’s best, fantastic imagination imbued by the psychedelic art gallery, spectacular visual engineering reflecting off the water or all of this mashed with explosive décor it’s time to prepare for an assault on the senses and feed the creative hunger by enjoying a whole heap of moon madness. If it’s different you want it’s different you got. Watch the moon as it builds up towards what can only be Afrikadabra magic. In the mean time, tickets are limited so join with us and let’s make that man on the moon a little jealous of being down here.
